Questions about the NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge

If you have any questions about the rules of the NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge please visit their website where you will find a comprehensive FAQ (frequently asked questions) section to  help  you. If you are still unsure or need further assistance please come and see Mrs Commisso or Mrs Sylaprany in the library.

A recent question received from a student was about whether reading more than one book from a series could be counted in the Challenge. Here is the official answer from the website:

“Can I read any title in a book series? Can I read more than one title in a book series? Many book series, trilogies and quartets have been included on the Premier’s Reading Challenge booklists. You can find a full list of approved series on the PRC website. You can read any two books from a series on your Challenge book list as part of your official reading. You can read more than two books from a series but they will only count as personal choice books. You enter the PRC ID number for the titles you read into your online Student Reading Record.
Students are limited in the number of books they can read from each series to encourage readers to experience a wide range of books and authors. Students should be encouraged to read more titles from any series they really enjoyed in their personal reading and when reading beyond the Challenge.”
