INKY AWARDS 2012

The Inky Awards Shortlist has been announced for 2012. The Inky Awards are Australia’s only teenage choice awards. The winners for 2012 will be announced on 23rd October 2012.

The contenders for this year’s Inky Awards includes:

  • Shift by Em Bailey (Genre: Paranormal)
  • Night Beach by Kirsty Eager (Genre: Contemporary, Paranormal)
  • Act of Faith by Kelly Gardiner (Genre: Historical)
  • Queen of the Night by Leanne Hall (Genre: Fantasy)
  • The Reluctant Hallelujah by Gabrielle Williams (Genre: Contemporary)
  • BZRK by Michael Grant (Genre: Action/Adventure, Dystopian)
  • The Fault in our Stars by John Green (Genre: Contemporary)
  • Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler (Genre: Contemporary)
  • A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness (Genre: Fantasy)
  • Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor (Genre: Paranormal)

 

STUDENTS CAN VOTE FOR THEIR FAVOURITE INKY BOOK

Voting is open for 12-20 year olds, and if you’re a registered inside a dog user, you’ll also go in the draw to win a copy of all ten shortlisted books! To register & vote go to http://www.insideadog.com.au/page/inkys

The Silver Inky – Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Creative Reading Prize – Natalie Keyton for her visual design portfolio for Suzanne Collin’s ‘The Hunger Games’.
